Techniques for visualization of access events across a facility

An access management system for visualization of access events across a facility, the system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• a memory comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor causes:
• a data retriever to:
• obtain event data associated with one or more users from one or more access detection units of the facility, wherein the event data is indicative of an interaction of the one or more users with at least one of the one or more access detection units of the facility;
• access a layout representation of the facility and overlay the one or more access detection units of the facility onto the layout representation;
• an event synthesizer to:
• synthesize the event data associated with the one or more users to determine a path traversed by the one or more users for a first time period, wherein synthesizing the event data includes transforming the event data into a visually dynamic format;
• generate a visual representation of the event data in the visually dynamic format indicating a movement of the one or more users within the facility for the first time period in correspondence to the layout representation of the facility;
• and
• a display unit to:
• display the visual representation to a personnel for visualization of access events across the facility.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions for visualization of access events across a facility, the instructions being executable by a processor to:

• obtain event data associated with one or more users from one or more access detection units of the facility, wherein the event data is in a text-based format and wherein the event data is indicative of an interaction of the one or more users with at least one of the one or more access detection units of the facility;
• access a layout representation of the facility overlaid with the one or more access detection units of the facility;
• synthesize the event data associated with the one or more users to determine a path traversed by the one or more users for a first time period, wherein synthesizing the event data includes transforming the event data into a visually dynamic format;
• generate a visual representation of the event data in the visually dynamic format indicating a movement of the one or more users within the facility for the first time period in correspondence to the layout representation of the facility, wherein the visual representation includes at least one of a video and a Graphics Interchange Format (GIF);
• and
• display the visual representation to a personnel for visualization of access events across the facility.
