Abstract
A method includes detecting, by a coexistence controller of a system on a chip (SoC), an occurrence of a coexistence event of an SoC component; providing, by the coexistence controller, an indication of the occurrence of the coexistence event to a coexistence coordinator; and changing, by the coexistence controller, an operating point of the SoC from a current operating point to a new operating point responsive to receiving an operating point change request from the coexistence coordinator.
Claims20
A device comprising:
- a first component;
- a second component;
- and
- a processor coupled to the first component and the second component, wherein the processor is configured to:
- detect an event based on a threshold;
- in response to the event occurring, provide an indication;
- receive a request specifying a target parameter for the first component in response to providing the indication;
- provide a first performance parameter of the first component based on the target parameter;
- and
- in response to providing the first performance parameter, change an operating mode of the first component to the target parameter so that a second performance parameter of the second component meets the threshold.

A method comprising:
- detecting an event based on a threshold;
- in response to the event occurring, providing an indication;
- receiving a request specifying a target parameter for a first component in response to providing the indication;
- providing a performance parameter of the first component based on the target parameter;
- and
- in response to providing the performance parameter, changing an operating mode of the first component to the target parameter so that a second component reaches the threshold.

A system, comprising:
- a first component;
- a second component;
- a first processor coupled to the first component and the second component, wherein the first processor is configured to:
- detect an event based on a threshold;
- in response to the event occurring, provide an indication;
- receive a first request specifying a target parameter for the first component;
- provide a first performance parameter of the first component based on the target parameter;
- receive a second request to change an operating mode of the first component;
- and
- change the operating mode of the first component to the target parameter so that a second performance parameter of the first component meets the threshold;
- and
- a second processor coupled to the first processor, wherein the second processor is configured to:
- provide the threshold to the first processor;
- receive the indication of the event occurring;
- based on the indication, determine the target parameter for the first component;
- send the first request specifying the target parameter to the first processor;
- receive the first performance parameter of the first component;
- and
- based on the first performance parameter, send the second request to change the operating mode of the first component.
