Map-based task scheduling

A computer-program product comprising one or more non-transitory machine-readable storage media, including stored instructions configured to cause a computing system to perform a set of actions including:

• causing display of a map, one or more map controls, and one or more selectable task items;
• receiving configuration input to the one or more map controls, wherein the configuration input filters out one or more filtered resources of a plurality of candidate resources to select a subset of one or more unfiltered resources of the plurality of candidate resources;
• causing display of the map in a filtered state, wherein the filtered state of the map shows at least a particular resource of the subset at a particular resource location associated with the particular resource without showing the one or more filtered resources on the map;
• while the map is in the filtered state, receiving a selection of a particular task item of the one or more selectable task items;
• based at least in part on the selection of the particular task item:
• automatically scheduling the particular resource to complete the particular task item at a particular task location associated with the particular task item within a particular time constraint of the particular task item;
• automatically updating a particular status of the particular task item to indicate that the particular task item has been scheduled;
• automatically updating a resource task schedule for the particular resource to include a particular entry for the particular task item at a particular time;
• wherein the updated resource task schedule also includes one or more other entries for one or more other task items scheduled at one or more other times;
• automatically updating the map to include a graphical indication that is based at least in part on both the particular task location and the particular resource location.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions, which, when executed by the system, cause the system to perform a set of actions including:
• causing display of a map, one or more map controls, and one or more selectable task items;
• receiving configuration input to the one or more map controls, wherein the configuration input filters out one or more filtered resources of a plurality of candidate resources to select a subset of one or more unfiltered resources of the plurality of candidate resources;
• causing display of the map in a filtered state, wherein the filtered state of the map shows at least a particular resource of the subset at a particular resource location associated with the particular resource without showing the one or more filtered resources on the map;
• while the map is in the filtered state, receiving a selection of a particular task item of the one or more selectable task items;
• based at least in part on the selection of the particular task item:
• automatically scheduling the particular resource to complete the particular task item at a particular task location associated with the particular task item within a particular time constraint of the particular task item;
• automatically updating a particular status of the particular task item to indicate that the particular task item has been scheduled;
• automatically updating a resource task schedule for the particular resource to include a particular entry for the particular task item at a particular time;
• wherein the updated resource task schedule also includes one or more other entries for one or more other task items scheduled at one or more other times;
• automatically updating the map to include a graphical indication that is based at least in part on both the particular task location and the particular resource location.
