Systems and methods for automatic formatting of images for media assets based on user profile

A method for selectively generating for display portions of an image, the method comprising:

• receiving, from a user device, a request for a media asset;
• identifying one or more images corresponding to the media asset, wherein the one or more images comprise a plurality of portions each depicting a respective entity associated with the media asset;
• ranking the plurality of portions based on a user profile corresponding to the user device;
• determining a display parameter of the user device;
• determining a selected number of the plurality of portions based on the display parameter of the user device;
• identifying a set of portions of the plurality of portions, wherein the set of portions comprises the selected number of the plurality of portions corresponding to the highest ranked plurality of portions;
• cropping out each of the set of portions from the respective one or more images corresponding to the media asset;
• stitching the set of portions together to generate a stitched image;
• and
• providing the stitched image to the user device.

A system for selectively generating for display portions of an image, the system comprising:

• memory;
• and
• control circuitry configured to:
• receive, from a user device, a request for a media asset;
• identify one or more images corresponding to the media asset, wherein the one or more images comprise a plurality of portions each depicting a respective entity associated with the media asset;
• rank the plurality of portions based on a user profile corresponding to the user device;
• determine a display parameter of the user device;
• determine a selected number of the plurality of portions based on the display parameter of the user device;
• identify a set of portions of the plurality of portions, wherein the set of portions comprises the selected number of the plurality of portions corresponding to the highest ranked plurality of portions;
• crop out each of the set of portions from the respective one or more images corresponding to the media asset;
• stitch the set of portions together to generate a stitched image;
• and
• provide the stitched image to the user device.
