Electronic apparatus and method for controlling electronic apparatus

A method for controlling an electronic apparatus including a camera, a driving unit configured to move the electronic apparatus, a projection unit configured to output light from a light source onto a projection surface external of the electronic apparatus, a memory configured to store instructions, and one or more processors configured to, collectively or individually, execute the stored instructions, the method comprising:

• by the one or more processors,
• projecting, by the projection unit, a user interface (UI) including a plurality of UI elements onto the projection surface,
• obtaining, by the camera, an image related to a movement of a user indicative of a selection by the user of a projected UI element of the projected plurality of UI elements,
• obtaining, from the obtained image, information corresponding to a distance between a feature region associated with a foot of the user and the electronic apparatus, and
• based on the obtained information, selecting the projected UI element of the projected plurality of UI elements that the user indicates is selected by the movement of the user.
