Abstract

A display device can include a backlight unit, a display panel disposed on the backlight unit and including a first display area and a second display area, and a sensor disposed under the second display area. Additionally, the backlight unit can include a light guide plate disposed under the first display area and the second display area, a light source configured to radiate light to the light guide plate, a reflector disposed between the second display area and the sensor and configured to reflect incident visible light to the second display area, and an optical sheet disposed on the backlight unit. Further, the optical sheet can include an opening corresponding to the second display area.

Dependent claims

A display device comprising:

a backlight unit;
a display panel disposed on the backlight unit and including a first display area and a second display area;
and
a sensor disposed under the second display area,
wherein the backlight unit includes:
a light guide plate disposed under the first display area and the second display area;
a light source configured to radiate light to the light guide plate;
a reflector disposed between the second display area and the sensor and configured to reflect incident visible light to the second display area;
and
an optical sheet disposed on the backlight unit, and
wherein the optical sheet includes an opening corresponding to the second display area.
