A polysulfide resin in which structural units containing an adamantane structure are linked in a linear chain via sulfide bonds.

A polysulfide resin wherein structural units including an adamantane structure are linked in a linear chain via sulfide bonds.
A method for producing a polysulfide resin, the method comprising:
- a mixing step of mixing a dithiol compound represented by the formula (2):
- wherein l1 and l2 each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2 with sulfur in a molar ratio of 1:2.5 to 1:25 to obtain a mixture;
- and
- a reaction step of reacting the mixture at 120 to 220° C. for 12 to 48 hours.
