Abstract
A photoacoustic gas sensor comprises an emitter configured to emit light, a sensor configured to measure pressure variations and a measurement cell enclosing the emitter and the sensor. At least a first ventilation opening and a second ventilation opening connect the measurement cell with an environment.
Claims20
A photoacoustic gas sensor, comprising:
- an emitter configured to emit light;
- a sensor configured to measure pressure variations;
- a measurement cell enclosing the emitter and the sensor;
- and
- at least a first ventilation opening and a second ventilation opening connecting the measurement cell with an environment.

A refrigerant leakage detection system comprising at least one photoacoustic gas sensor comprising:
- an emitter configured to emit light;
- a sensor configured to measure pressure variations;
- a measurement cell enclosing the emitter and the sensor;
- and
- at least a first ventilation opening and a second ventilation opening connecting the measurement cell with an environment.
2 more elements
A method of sensing gas using a photoacoustic sensor, the method comprising:
- receiving a gas into a measurement cell through ventilation openings comprising a first ventilation opening and a second ventilation opening;
- emitting light using an emitter enclosed in the measurement cell to cause pressure vibrations of the gas;
- and
- measuring the pressure vibrations using a sensor enclosed in the measurement cell.
