Sanitary system

A sanitary system comprising

• a plurality of sanitary elements, each of which comprises a sanitary element-side communication interface, and
• at least one gateway which comprises a gateway-side communication interface, a memory and a processor, the memory and processor being operatively connected to one another and to the gateway-side communication interface,
• wherein the at least one gateway is connected via the gateway-side communication interface to the sanitary element-side communication interface via a data connection,
• wherein the data connection is designed as a direct data connection and is configured such that data can be exchanged between the gateway and the sanitary element via the data connection, and
• wherein the memory of the gateway is designed to store at least one logical group to which at least one selection from all sanitary elements connected to the gateway is assigned.

An arrangement comprising a sanitary system and a computer network,

• said sanitary system comprising
• a plurality of sanitary elements, each of which comprises a sanitary element-side communication interface, and
• at least one gateway which comprises a gateway-side communication interface, a memory and a processor, the memory and processor being operatively connected to one another and to the gateway-side communication interface,
• wherein the at least one gateway is connected via the gateway-side communication interface to the sanitary element-side communication interface via a data connection,
• wherein the data connection is designed as a direct data connection and is configured such that data can be exchanged between the gateway and the sanitary element via the data connection,
• wherein the memory of the gateway is designed to store at least one logical group to which at least one selection from all sanitary elements connected to the gateway is assigned;
• and
• wherein the gateway comprises a further communication interface via which a data connection can be provided between the gateway and the computer network.
