Abstract

A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet includes a steel sheet having a surface in which a plurality of grooves extending in a direction intersecting a rolling direction and having a depth in a sheet thickness direction are formed. In a cross section of the steel sheet parallel to the rolling direction and parallel to the sheet thickness direction, at least one projection is present on a side surface or a bottom surface of the groove, the projection has a maximum height of 2 to 50 μm and a maximum width of 2 to 50 μm, and the orientation difference between the average crystal orientation of the projection and the Goss orientation is 10 degrees or more.
