Abstract
This disclosure relates to methods of sealing casing-casing annual leaks and repairing casings using a sealant composition, including volcanic ash, an epoxy resin, and a crosslinker.
Claims22
A method of sealing a casing or a casing-casing annulus, comprising:
- applying a sealant composition to the casing or the casing-casing annulus, the sealant composition comprising:
- about 5 wt % to about 15 wt % of volcanic ash;
- about 80 wt % to about 90 wt % of epoxy resin;
- and
- about 2 wt % to about 4 wt % of crosslinker;
- wherein the sealant composition does not comprise a cement or an alkaline activator.
