Gel containing bagworm silk and method for producing same

Abstract

A gel may include (i) bagworm silk and (ii) water. The water may be present in the gel in a range of from 80 to 99.99% by mass, relative to a total amount of the gel. The gel may further include a gel-forming polymer, saccharide, alcohol, water-soluble polymer, and/or basic substance. The bagworm silk may be silk spun by Eumeta japonica, Eumeta minuscula, or Nipponopsyche fuscescens.
