Abstract
Provided is at least one of a ceramic matrix composite and a method for producing the same. The ceramic matrix composite is one in which a reduction in strength due to high temperature exposure is inhibited because of a new ceramic matrix provided therein. A ceramic matrix composite comprises a ceramic matrix and a continuous ceramic fiber. The ceramic matrix comprises an aluminum-containing composite oxide and an oxide that has a composition different from the composition of the composite oxide.

A ceramic matrix composite comprising:
- a ceramic matrix comprising an aluminum-containing composite oxide and an oxide that has a composition different from the composition of the composite oxide;
- and
- a continuous ceramic fiber.
