Abstract
A reusable water filter cartridge is described herein. The water filter cartridge may include a filter housing defining a cavity. The water filter cartridge may include a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet positioned on the filter housing and in fluid communication with the cavity. The water filter cartridge may include a removable filtration media positioned within the cavity, wherein the filter housing is configured to provide access to the removable filtration media.

A water filter cartridge, comprising:
- a filter housing defining a cavity;
- a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet positioned on the filter housing and in fluid communication with the cavity;
- and
- a removable filtration media positioned within the cavity;
- wherein the filter housing is configured to provide access to the removable filtration media.

A filtration media unit, comprising:
- filtration media;
- and
- an interface mechanism for providing fluid communication between:
- a fluid inlet of a filter cartridge and the filtration media;
- and
- the filtration media and a fluid outlet of the filter cartridge;
- wherein the interface mechanism is configured to be detachable from the filter cartridge.
A method of replacing filtration media within a water filter cartridge, the method comprising:
- providing a water filter cartridge, comprising:
- a filter housing defining a cavity;
- a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet positioned on the filter housing and in fluid communication with the cavity;
- and
- a first removable filtration media positioned within the cavity;
- wherein the filter housing is configured to provide access to the first removable filtration media;
- manipulating the filter housing to obtain the access to the first removable filtration media;
- removing the first removable filtration media from the cavity;
- inserting a second removable filtration media into the cavity;
- and
- manipulating the filter housing to seal the cavity.
