Inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus comprising:

• a recording head having a nozzle surface for ejecting ink;
• a cleaning member for cleaning the nozzle surface with a detergent;
• and
• a container member which, by being pressed from above to below, is displaced from a first position to a second position, the container member functioning in the second position to accept supply of the detergent, once contain the supplied detergent and supply the cleaning member with the detergent;
• and
• a supply member which, during supply of the detergent to the container member, is placed above the container member to supply the container member with the detergent, wherein
• the container member includes:
• a containing part which has an upwardly-opening recessed area and which accepts supply of the detergent from the supply member via the opening of the recessed area to contain the supplied detergent in the recessed area;
• and
• a base part which adjoins the containing part in a first direction perpendicular to an up/down direction, and
• the supply member presses the base part from above to below without making contact with the containing part so that the container member is displaced from the first position to the second position.
