Abstract
A system for performing an operation on a subsea body includes a housing configured to establish a sealed chamber around a section of the body; an environmental system configured to monitor and/or control an environment within the sealed chamber; and an operational tool mounted to a positioning system within the housing, wherein the operational tool is configured to perform an additive manufacture operation on the body within the sealed chamber.

(canceled)
A system for repairing a body, the system comprising:
- a housing configured to establish a sealed chamber around a section of the body such that the sealed chamber has a controllable environment, the housing defining an inlet and an outlet to the sealed chamber;
- an environmental system configured to drain a first fluid from the sealed chamber and fill the sealed chamber with a second fluid from a fluid source;
- and
- an additive manufacturing tool mounted within the housing such that the additive manufacturing tool performs an additive manufacturing operation on the section of the body within the sealed chamber after the sealed chamber is drained of the first fluid and filled with the second fluid.
A system for repairing a body, the system comprising:
- a housing configured to establish a sealed chamber around a section of the body such that the sealed chamber has a controllable environment, the housing defining an inlet and an outlet to the sealed chamber;
- an environmental system comprising a first controllable valve on the inlet, a second controllable valve on the outlet, and a pump such that a first fluid is drained from the sealed chamber through a second valve and the outlet by the pump while the sealed chamber is filled with a second fluid, wherein the environmental system monitors and controls the controllable environment within the sealed chamber using at least one of a temperature sensor or a pressure sensor located within the housing;
- and
- an additive manufacturing tool mounted within the housing such that the additive manufacturing tool performs an additive manufacturing operation on the section of the body within the sealed chamber after the sealed chamber is drained of the first fluid and filled with the second fluid.
A method for repairing a body, the method comprising:
- forming a sealed chamber around a section of the body using a housing comprising an inlet and an outlet, wherein a first controllable valve is on the inlet and a second controllable valve is on the outlet;
- establishing a controlled environment within the sealed chamber by draining a first fluid from the sealed chamber through the outlet using the second controllable valve and filling the sealed chamber with a second fluid from a fluid source through the inlet using the first controllable valve;
- and
- performing an additive manufacturing operation on the section of the body within sealed chamber using an additive manufacturing tool mounted within the housing after the sealed chamber is drained of the first fluid and filled with the second fluid.
