Abstract
A feeding device and method for a coating apparatus that includes a hopper to supply fresh granular/powdery material and a funnel with a slide to supply recycled granular/powdery material in a sliding direction, the fresh granular/powdery material and the recycled granular/powdery material being mixed and supplied to the coating apparatus to coat a food product, the hopper includes an outlet, the hopper includes means to guide an outflow of the fresh granular/powdery material from the outlet of the hopper in a, at least partial, counterflow-direction to the sliding direction of the recycled granular/powdery material, the hopper comprises another outlet with a constant outflow area.

Feeding device for a coating apparatus comprising a hopper to supply fresh granular/powdery material and a funnel with a slide to supply recycled granular/powdery material in a sliding direction, the fresh granular/powdery material and the recycled granular/powdery material being mixed and supplied to the coating apparatus to coat a food product, wherein the hopper comprises an outlet, the hopper comprises means to guide an outflow of the fresh granular/powdery material from the outlet of the hopper in a, at least partial, counterflow-direction to the sliding direction of the recycled granular/powdery material, wherein the hopper comprises another outlet with a constant outflow area.
