A sample section handling kit, comprising:

• a sample section handling device comprising:
• an elongated body having a first end formed by a tip portion of the elongated body, and
• a nub formed at the tip portion of the elongated body or formed as the tip portion of the elongated body,
• wherein the nub has an outer surface that is configured to physically and/or mechanically contact a surface of a sample section for thereby handling and/or manipulating the sample section, and
• a storage means which is configured to receive and/or to release the sample section handling device, in particular in a controllable manner and/or by having receptacle means.

Usage of a sample section handling device in a method of handling a sample section, wherein:

• the sample section handling device comprises:
• an elongated body having a first end formed by a tip portion of the elongated body, and
• a nub formed at the tip portion of the elongated body or formed as the tip portion of the elongated body,
• wherein the nub has an outer surface that is configured to physically and/or mechanically contact a surface of the sample section for thereby handling and/or manipulating the sample section, and
• the method of handling the sample section comprises at least one of vertically transferring, in particular by lifting/dragging and dropping, and of laterally transferring, in particular by pushing, a sample section.
