Abstract
A copper-carbon composite material, its preparation and application thereof are provided. The copper-carbon composite material has an active component and a carrier. The active component includes a combination of Cu and Cu2O, and the carrier is a porous carbonaceous material. The content of the combination is 1 wt % to 50 wt %, calculated based on the mass of Cu element, relative to the composite material as 100 wt %, and the R1 value of the composite material is 0.4-2:1.
Claims28
A copper-carbon composite material, comprising an active component and a carrier, wherein the active component comprises a combination of Cu and Cu2O, and the carrier is a porous carbonaceous material, the combination is present in an amount of 1 wt % to 50 wt %, preferably 5 wt % to 35 wt %, calculated by mass on the basis of Cu element, relative to 100 wt % of the composite material, the composite material has a R1 value of 0.4-2:1, preferably 0.5-1.5:1, wherein the R1 value is the height ratio between peaks for Cu2O and Cu in an XRD pattern of the composite material.
A method for producing a copper-carbon composite material, comprising the steps of:
- (1) contacting a carbonaceous material, a copper-containing compound and an organic solvent under heat treatment conditions to obtain a pre-composite material (referred to as material A);
- (2) contacting the material A with an alkali activator to conduct an activation reaction to obtain the copper-carbon composite material,
- wherein the carbonaceous material is a solid carbon-based material with a carbon content of more than 80 wt % and is at least one selected from the group consisting of graphite precursors and activated carbon precursors.
