Provided are an air filter medium in which occurrence of mold is suppressed, a method for using an air filter medium, and an air treatment apparatus. The air filter medium includes a porous membrane having a surface mean height Rc of 6 μm or more and a water contact angle of 90 degrees or more on a membrane surface.
