An intermittent-catheter system (100) can include a drainage assembly (170) and a rigid carrying case (150). The drainage assembly can include an intermittent-catheter assembly (110) and a drainage bag (180). The intermittent-catheter assembly can include an intermittent catheter (130) and a storage sheath (144). The intermittent catheter can include a catheter tube (134) and a funnel (136) over a proximal end portion of the catheter tube. The funnel can have a funnel opening (142) for voiding urine. The storage sheath can have an end cap (146). The storage sheath and the end cap can be configured to enclose at least the catheter tube of the intermittent catheter therein.
