Abstract
An obturator for a tracheal cannula is proposed, including a guide bar, an atraumatic tracheal tip, a distal grip piece and a sleeve, wherein the grip piece is arranged at a distal end of the guide bar, wherein a portion of the grip piece facing the guide bar includes a thread onto which the sleeve is able to be screwed.

A set comprising:
- at least a tracheal cannula;
- and
- an obturator for the tracheal cannula having a guide bar, an atraumatic tracheal tip, a distal grip piece, and a sleeve, wherein the distal grip piece is arranged at a distal end of the guide bar, a portion of the distal grip piece facing the guide bar includes a thread onto which the sleeve is able to be screwed,
- wherein a length of the guide bar of the obturator is adapted to a length of a cannula tube of the tracheal cannula, and the atraumatic tracheal tip of the obturator has a maximum tip diameter which is substantially equal to or greater than an external diameter of the tracheal cannula at a tracheal end thereof.
