Wound dressing and method of treatment

A wound treatment apparatus comprising:

• a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound site, the wound dressing comprising:
• a material layer comprising a plurality of cells, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is at least partially separated from an adjacent cell along every side of each said cell that faces an adjacent cell, wherein the plurality of cells of the material layer are configured to allow the material layer to conform to a non-planar surface, wherein a subset of the plurality of cells of the material layers are configured to be trimmable to shape the wound dressing to conform to a non-planar surface;
• a backing layer over the material layer and comprising at least one orifice;
• a wound contact layer beneath the material layer and sealed to the backing layer;
• and
• a fluidic connector positioned over the at least one orifice configured to provide negative pressure through the wound dressing to the wound site.

A wound treatment apparatus comprising:

• a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound site on a non-planar surface of the patient and allow articulation of the wound dressing to remain positioned over the wound site during movement of the non-planar surface of the patient, the wound dressing comprising:
• a material layer;
• a backing layer over the material layer and comprising at least one orifice;
• a wound contact layer beneath the material layer and sealed to the backing layer;
• and
• a fluidic connector positioned over the at least one orifice configured to provide negative pressure through the wound dressing to the wound site;
• wherein the wound dressing includes a plurality of cells configured to assist adhering the wound dressing over the wound site, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells is at least partially separated from an adjacent cell along every side of each said cell that faces an adjacent cell.
