Apparatus and system for turning and positioning a patient

A method comprising:

• placing a sheet on a support surface, the sheet comprising:
• a bottom surface at least partially formed of a first material having a first coefficient of friction, and
• a top surface opposite the bottom surface, the top surface comprising:
• a central portion, the central portion being at least partially formed of a second material having a second coefficient of friction, the second coefficient of friction being greater than the first coefficient of friction, and
• a peripheral portion extending about an entirety of the central portion;
• placing a pad onto the top surface, the pad being formed of an absorbent material, the second material resisting sliding of the pad relative to the top surface after the pad had been placed onto the top surface;
• and
• exerting a force on the sheet to slide the sheet along the support surface after placing the pad onto the top surface.
