Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to a medical dressing (100) comprising an absorbent foam layer (101) having a first side (101a) and a second side (101b); the dressing (100) comprising a backing layer (102) facing the first side (101a) of the absorbent foam layer (101) and an adhesive skin contact layer (103) facing the second side (101b) of the absorbent foam layer (101), wherein the first side (101a) of the absorbent foam layer (101) comprises a plurality of compressed depressions (104a) and wherein the backing layer (102) is arranged in direct contact with the first side (101a) of the absorbent foam layer (101). The present disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing the medical dressing.
Claims16
A medical dressing comprising an absorbent foam layer having a first side and a second side;
- said dressing comprising a backing layer facing said first side of said absorbent foam layer and an adhesive skin contact layer facing said second side of said absorbent foam layer, wherein said first side of said absorbent foam layer comprises a plurality of compressed depressions and wherein said backing layer is arranged in direct contact with said first side of said absorbent foam layer.
A method for manufacturing a medical dressing comprising:
- a) providing an absorbent foam layer having a first side and a second side,
- b) providing a plurality of compressed depressions on said first side of said absorbent foam layer,
- c) heat-laminating a backing layer onto said first side of said absorbent foam layer such that said backing layer is arranged in direct contact with said first side of said absorbent foam layer,
- d) providing an adhesive skin contact layer on said second side of said absorbent foam layer
