Ergonomic Motion Chair With Automatic Seat Movement Lock

A chair having:

• a frame;
• a seat operably secured to the frame and defining a seat plane and having a front side, a back side, a left side, a right side, and a left-to-right center;
• a seat-back operably secured to the frame
• the seat substantially pivotable about an axis of rotation such that the seat is substantially movable relative to the frame defining a range of motion of the seat;
• a biasing structure to bias the seat to a neutral position relative to the frame;
• a seat lock operably secured between the frame and the seat;
• the seat lock having a disengaged setting whereby the seat moves freely about its range of motion and an engaged setting whereby the seat is held in a fixed position relative to the frame;
• an activation structure that automatically activates the engaged setting of the seat lock when no user is sitting in the chair;
• and,
• a manually activated actuator for switching the seat lock from the engaged setting to the disengaged setting when a user is sitting on the seat thereby allowing the seat to move freely about the seat's range of motion.
