Server-generated mosaic video stream for live-stream media items

A system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• one or more processing devices coupled to the memory, the one or more processing devices configured to perform operations comprising:
• identifying a plurality of source video streams associated with a plurality of audio tracks;
• receiving an audio track input indicating a first source video stream selected from the plurality of source video streams, wherein the first source video stream is associated with a first audio track of the plurality of audio tracks;
• combining the plurality of source video streams into a mosaic video stream, wherein each source video stream of the plurality of source video streams is associated with a corresponding spatial fragment within a visual rendering of the mosaic video stream, wherein a visual cue is provided for the visual rendering of the mosaic video stream that concurrently presents the plurality of source video streams, the visual cue indicating that the first audio track is an audio track of the first source video stream selected from the plurality of source video streams concurrently presented within the visual rendering of the mosaic video stream;
• and
• causing the mosaic video stream to be provided to a client device for visual rendering.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processing devices, cause the one or more processing device to perform operations comprising:

• identifying a plurality of source video streams associated with a plurality of audio tracks;
• receiving an audio track input indicating a first source video stream selected from the plurality of source video streams, wherein the first source video stream is associated with a first audio track of the plurality of audio tracks;
• combining the plurality of source video streams into a mosaic video stream, wherein each source video stream of the plurality of source video streams is associated with a corresponding spatial fragment within a visual rendering of the mosaic video stream, wherein a visual cue is provided for the visual rendering of the mosaic video stream that concurrently presents the plurality of source video streams, the visual cue indicating that the first audio track is an audio track of the first source video stream selected from the plurality of source video streams concurrently presented within the visual rendering of the mosaic video stream;
• and
• causing the mosaic video stream to be provided to a client device for visual rendering.
