Abstract
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for facilitating network synchronization within a network comprising multiple distributed server clusters connected to various edge devices. The synchronization process involves maintaining multiple copies of a routing table, which are distributed across the locations of the server clusters and edge devices. When a connectivity change occurs and is detected by at least one server in the distributed server clusters, this change is represented as a delta in the routing table. The delta is then distributed across the server clusters and edge devices to update and synchronize all copies of the routing table, ensuring consistency across the network.
Claims19
A computer readable medium containing instructions that when executed by at least one processor causes the at least one processor to perform network synchronization operations in a network containing a plurality of distributed server clusters connected to a plurality of edge devices, the operations comprising:
- maintaining a plurality of copies of a routing table, the plurality of copies of the routing table being distributed to a plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices;
- detecting, at at least one server in the plurality of distributed server clusters, a connectivity change, the connectivity change being expressible as a delta in the routing table;
- and
- distributing the delta to the plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices to thereby update the plurality of copies of the routing table rendering the plurality of copies of the routing table synchronized.
A system for performing network synchronization operations in a network containing a plurality of distributed server clusters connected to a plurality of edge devices, the system comprising:
- at least one processor configured to:
- maintain a plurality of copies of a routing table, the plurality of copies of the routing table being distributed to a plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices;
- detect, at at least one server in the plurality of distributed server clusters, a connectivity change, the connectivity change being expressible as a delta in the routing table;
- and
- distribute the delta to the plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices to thereby update the plurality of copies of the routing table rendering the plurality of copies of the routing table synchronized.
A method for performing network synchronization operations in a network containing a plurality of distributed server clusters connected to a plurality of edge devices, the method comprising:
- maintaining a plurality of copies of a routing table, the plurality of copies of the routing table being distributed to a plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices;
- detecting, at at least one server in the plurality of distributed server clusters, a connectivity change, the connectivity change being expressible as a delta in the routing table;
- and
- distributing the delta to the plurality of locations across the distributed server clusters and the plurality of edge devices to thereby update the plurality of copies of the routing table rendering the plurality of copies of the routing table synchronized.
