Multiple resource allocation requests in user equipment (ue)-initiated beam reporting

A network entity, comprising:

• one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
• and
• one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the network entity to:
• obtain a first uplink resource allocation request associated with an uplink beam report in accordance with a satisfaction of a condition associated with user equipment (UE)-initiated uplink beam reporting at a UE;
• output, within a time period indicated by a timer that restricts uplink resource allocation requests associated with UE-initiated uplink beam reports, a resource grant associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with obtaining the first uplink resource allocation request;
• and
• obtain a second uplink resource allocation request associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with a reception failure of the resource grant at the UE and an expiration of the timer that restricts the uplink resource allocation requests associated with the UE-initiated uplink beam reports.

A method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• transmitting a first uplink resource allocation request associated with an uplink beam report in accordance with a satisfaction of a condition associated with UE-initiated uplink beam reporting at the UE;
• monitoring, within a time period indicated by a timer that restricts uplink resource allocation requests associated with UE-initiated uplink beam reports, a downlink control channel for a resource grant associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with transmitting the first uplink resource allocation request;
• and
• transmitting a second uplink resource allocation request associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with an absence of the resource grant and an expiration of the timer that restricts the uplink resource allocation requests associated with the UE-initiated uplink beam reports.

A method for wireless communications at a network entity, comprising:

• obtaining a first uplink resource allocation request associated with an uplink beam report in accordance with a satisfaction of a condition associated with user equipment (UE)-initiated uplink beam reporting at a UE;
• outputting, within a time period indicated by a timer that restricts uplink resource allocation requests associated with UE-initiated uplink beam reports, a resource grant associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with obtaining the first uplink resource allocation request;
• and
• obtaining a second uplink resource allocation request associated with the uplink beam report in accordance with a reception failure of the resource grant at the UE and an expiration of the timer that restricts the uplink resource allocation requests associated with the UE-initiated uplink beam reports.
