Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a card socket and an electronic device. The card socket includes a housing, a card connector, a card tray, and a clamping mechanism. In embodiments of the present disclosure, the card tray comprises a card slot that has at least a shorter side and a longer side, and an extension direction of the shorter side of the card slot is the same as an insertion direction of the card tray. In embodiments of the present disclosure, a first clamping member and the housing are of a separate structure, and the first clamping member is fastened to the housing through assembly.
Claims20
A card socket, comprising a housing, at least one card connector, a card tray, and a clamping mechanism, wherein:
- the card tray is insertable into or removable from the housing, the card tray is provided with at least one card slot, the at least one card slot comprises at least a shorter side and a longer side, and an extension direction of the shorter side of the at least one card slot is the same as an insertion direction of the card tray;
- the at least one card connector is located within the housing, the at least one card connector comprises an insulating member and terminals, each terminal of the terminals comprises a fastening portion, at least two spring arms, and a contact portion, the fastening portion is fastened to the insulating member, the contact portion is spaced apart from the fastening portion, the at least two spring arms are fastened between the fastening portion and the contact portion, and arrangement directions of the at least two spring arms are set at included angles with an arrangement direction of the fastening portion and the contact portion;
- when the card tray is located within the housing, the contact portion is disposed in correspondence to the at least one card slot;
- and
- the clamping mechanism comprises a first clamping member and a second clamping member that are disposed opposite to each other along a first direction, the first direction is set at an included angle with the insertion direction, and when the card tray is inserted into the housing, the card tray is located between the first clamping member and the second clamping member, wherein the first clamping member and the housing are of a separate structure, and the first clamping member is fastened to the housing through assembly.
An electronic device, comprising a circuit board and a card socket, wherein the card socket comprises a card slot and terminals, the card socket is fastened to the circuit board, the card slot is configured to install an electronic card, and the terminals are electrically connected to the electronic card and the circuit board, wherein
- the card socket, comprising a housing, a card connector, a card tray, and a clamping mechanism, wherein
- the card tray is insertable into or removable from the housing, the card tray is provided with the card slot, the card slot comprises at least a shorter side and a longer side, and an extension direction of the shorter side of the card slot is the same as an insertion direction of the card tray;
- the card connector is located within the housing, the card connector comprises an insulating member and the terminals, each terminal of the terminals comprises a fastening portion, at least two spring arms, and a contact portion, the fastening portion is fastened to the insulating member, the contact portion is spaced apart from the fastening portion, the at least two spring arms are fastened between the fastening portion and the contact portion, and arrangement directions of the at least two spring arms are set at included angles with an arrangement direction of the fastening portion and the contact portion;
- when the card tray is located within the housing, the contact portion is disposed in correspondence to the card slot;
- and
- the clamping mechanism comprises a first clamping member and a second clamping member that are disposed opposite to each other along a first direction, the first direction is set at an included angle with the insertion direction, and when the card tray is inserted into the housing, the card tray is located between the first clamping member and the second clamping member, wherein the first clamping member and the housing are of a separate structure, and the first clamping member is fastened to the housing through assembly.
