An apparatus comprises a substrate, a transceiver on a side of the substrate, an antenna on a side of the substrate and coupled to the transceiver, and a device mounted on the substrate. The device includes an aperture aligned with the antenna and configured to receive electromagnetic waves from the antenna.

An apparatus comprising:
- a substrate;
- a transceiver on a side of the substrate;
- a first antenna on a side of the substrate and coupled to the transceiver, the antenna configured to transmit electromagnetic waves;
- and
- a device mounted on the substrate;
- the device including a first aperture aligned with the first antenna and configured to receive the electromagnetic waves from the antenna.
