A sports floor component comprising covalently cross-linked rubber, and further comprising a filler, wherein the rubber is natural rubber or epoxidized natural rubber.
A method of manufacturing a sports floor component, comprising:
- mixing rubber and a filler to provide a rubber composition, wherein the rubber is natural rubber or epoxidized natural rubber;
- covalently cross-linking the rubber in the rubber composition to form a matrix of covalent bonds incorporating the filler.
