Scissor lift with middle pin offset and kicker

A lift device, comprising:

• a base;
• a platform;
• and
• a scissor assembly coupling the base to the platform and configured to move the platform between a fully raised position and a fully lowered position, the scissor assembly comprising:
• a plurality of scissor layers, each of the plurality of scissor layers coupled to at least one other of the plurality of scissor layers and comprising an inner arm coupled to an outer arm;
• an actuator configured to exert an actuator force on a first scissor layer of the plurality of scissor layers;
• and
• a kicker assembly coupling the actuator to the first scissor layer, the kicker assembly comprising:
• a kicker having a first kicker end and a second kicker end, the kicker rotatably coupled to the first scissor layer proximate the first kicker end, wherein the kicker is coupled to the actuator such that the actuator is configured to rotate the kicker relative to the first scissor layer about a kicker axis;
• and
• a guide coupled to the kicker and the first scissor layer and configured to limit rotation of the kicker,
• wherein the scissor assembly is configured to lift the platform from the fully lowered position in at least a first stage and a second stage, wherein in the first stage, the second kicker end is movably engaged with a support surface and configured to transmit force from the actuator to the support surface to raise the platform, and in the second stage, the kicker is disengaged from the support surface and force from the actuator passes through the guide to the first scissor layer.
