A granular material unloader mounted on a bagging machine of the kind that stores agricultural staples such as corn and wheat in large diameter polyethylene silo bags hundreds of feet long. The unloader brings in grain or other granular materials from gravity discharge vehicles by sending forth a receiving trough that positions itself beneath the discharge downspouts of these vehicles, to then retrieve the trough and redeploy. This repositioning procedure is repeatedly executed throughout the silo bag filling process, continuing until the bag reaches its full length. The receiving trough is connected to a telescopic conveying auger composed of articulated tubular sections and the machine dispenses with hydraulic driven augers, relying instead on a wholly mechanical drivetrain.
An unloading conveyor system for transferring granular material from a vehicle to a grain bagging machine, the unloading conveyor system configured to convey granular material, such as grain, pellets, or dry sand, from a discharge downspout of a vehicle, including a truck, trailer, or grain cart, to a mechanically driven conveying system for grain bagging machines of the type that fill agricultural silo bags, the unloading conveyor system comprising:
