Abstract
Systems and methods for transmission gear shift management of a vehicle having cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) are provided. A method includes: enabling an at least partially autonomous driving level for a vehicle via a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of the vehicle; determining one or more CACC vehicle states; updating a predictive gear shifting circuit based on the one or more CACC vehicle states; determining a transmission shift event based on the updated predictive gear shifting circuit; and implementing the determined transmission shift event.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- enabling an at least partially autonomous driving level for a vehicle via a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of the vehicle;
- determining one or more CACC vehicle states;
- updating a predictive gear shifting circuit based on the one or more CACC vehicle states;
- determining a transmission shift event based on the updated predictive gear shifting circuit;
- and
- implementing the determined transmission shift event.
A system comprising:
- a controller having one or more processors and one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- enabling an at least partially autonomous driving level for a vehicle via a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of the vehicle;
- determining one or more CACC vehicle states;
- updating a predictive gear shifting circuit based on the one or more CACC vehicle states;
- determining a transmission shift event based on the updated predictive gear shifting circuit;
- and
- implementing the determined transmission shift event.
A non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a processing circuit, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- enabling an at least partially autonomous driving level for a vehicle via a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of the vehicle;
- determining one or more CACC vehicle states;
- updating a predictive gear shifting circuit based on the one or more CACC vehicle states;
- determining a transmission shift event based on the updated predictive gear shifting circuit;
- and
- implementing the determined transmission shift event.
