Abstract
A method of manufacturing a component for manipulating an input shockwave comprises forming a plurality of plates, each plate defining a sub-cavity, at least partially filling one or more of the sub-cavities with one or more cavity fill materials, and stacking the plurality of plates to form a component, such that the sub-cavities are at least partially aligned and the sub-cavities combine to define a layered component cavity containing the one or more cavity fill materials.
Claims19
A method of manufacturing a component for manipulating an input shockwave, the method comprising:
- forming a plurality of plates, each plate defining a sub-cavity;
- at least partially filling one or more of the sub-cavities with one or more cavity fill materials;
- and
- stacking the plurality of plates to form a component, such that the sub-cavities are at least partially aligned and the sub-cavities combine to define a layered component cavity containing the one or more cavity fill materials.
