Apparatuses, methods, and systems for vibratory screening

A screen assembly configured to be mounted to a screening machine, comprising:

• a screening area having screening openings surrounded by a front edge, a rear edge and first and second sides;
• and
• first and second side edges that are located on the first and second sides, respectively, of the screening area, wherein each of the first and second side edges comprises:
• a main body;
• and
• an upwardly extending tip located above the main body that extends above a top surface of the screening area, wherein the material of the upwardly extending tip is configured such that when the screen assembly is not mounted on a screen deck, a top portion of the upwardly extending tip will extend outwards away from an outer side of the main body and such that when screen assembly is mounted on a screening machine, the top portion of the upwardly extending tip will press against and form a seal against an inner surface of a side rail of the screening machine.

A screen assembly configured to be mounted to a screening machine, comprising:

• a screening portion that includes a plurality of screening openings that extend between a top surface and a bottom surface of the screening portion;
• front and rear edges located on front and rear sides, respectively, of the screening portion;
• first and second side edges located on first and second sides, respectively, of the screening portion, wherein each of the first and second side edges comprise:
• an upwardly extending portion that projects upward from the top surface of the screening portion;
• and
• a mounting surface that is configured to bear against a side mounting member of a screening machine when the screen assembly is secured to the screening machine, wherein a top portion of the mounting surface extends above the top surface of the screening portion.
