Operating table

An operating table, comprising:

• a tabletop;
• a column, which supports the tabletop, wherein the column is capable of moving upward and downward along a first direction;
• a driving device for the column, which is configured to drive the column to move upward and downward, so as to adjust a height of the tabletop;
• a base, which is arranged at a bottom of the column;
• a protective cover, which is arranged outside the column and covers the column, wherein the protective cover is capable of moving upward and downward along the first direction, while the column moves upward and downward;
• at least one detection component, which comprises a first element, wherein the first element is arranged at the protective cover, and configured to transmit a signal along a signal transmission path;
• and
• a control device, which is connected with the at least one detection component and the driving device for the column;
• wherein while the column moves upward and downward, the control device is configured to control the driving device for the column to stop driving the column and/or the control device is configured to send an alarm signal, when the signal transmission path is blocked.
