Imaging device, imaging system, and method for manufacturing the imaging system

An imaging system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a distal system electrically connected to the processor, the distal system comprising an image sensor structure and a light emitting device, wherein the light emitting device comprises an organic light emitting device, a micro light emitting diode, a quantum dot light emitting diode, or any combination thereof, wherein the organic light emitting device comprises:
• an electrode;
• a semi-reflective surface and a fully reflective surface;
• and
• an organic light emitting layer disposed above the electrode and between the semi-reflective surface and the fully reflective surface, wherein a distance between the semi-reflective surface and the fully reflective surface defines a micro resonant cavity.

A method for manufacturing an imaging system, comprising:

• manufacturing a distal system, comprising:
• providing a housing having a first hollow conduit;
• manufacturing a light emitting device, the light emitting device comprising an organic light emitting device, a micro light emitting diode, a quantum dot light emitting diode, or any combination thereof, and
• disposing the light emitting device within the first hollow conduit;
• and
• electrically connecting the distal system to a processor.
