Abstract
An image inspection apparatus including a hardware processor that detects a misregistration of an image formation position on a recording medium on which an image is formed by an image former. The hardware processor has: a first detection mode in which the misregistration is detected based on a formation position of a position detection image formed at a predetermined position on the recording medium by the image former; and a second detection mode in which the misregistration is detected without the position detection image being formed by the image former.

An image inspection apparatus comprising a hardware processor that detects a misregistration of an image formation position on a recording medium on which an image is formed by an image former, wherein
- the hardware processor has:
- a first detection mode in which the misregistration is detected based on a formation position of a position detection image formed at a predetermined position on the recording medium by the image former;
- and
- a second detection mode in which the misregistration is detected without the position detection image being formed by the image former.
An image inspection apparatus comprising a hardware processor that:
- acquires a read image generated by reading, with a reader, a recording medium on which an image is formed by an image former;
- and
- inspects presence or absence of an abnormality in the read image based on a reference image stored in a storage and the read image, wherein
- the hardware processor acquires information relating to a misregistration of the image formed on the recording medium based on the reference image and the read image, and controls an image formation position in the image former based on the acquired information relating to the misregistration of the image.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for a computer that detects a misregistration of an image formation position on a recording medium on which an image is formed by an image former, the program causing the computer to function as a controller that has:
- a first detection mode in which the misregistration is detected based on a formation position of a position detection image formed at a predetermined position on the recording medium by the image former;
- and
- a second detection mode in which the misregistration is detected without the position detection image being formed by the image former.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform:
- image acquiring that is acquiring a read image generated by reading, with a reader, a recording medium on which an image is formed by an image former;
- inspecting that is inspecting presence or absence of an abnormality in the read image based on a reference image stored in a storage and the read image;
- and
- controlling that is acquiring information relating to a misregistration of the image formed on the recording medium based on the reference image and the read image, and controlling an image formation position in the image former based on the acquired information relating to the misregistration of the image.
