Abstract
A display device according to one embodiment includes a substrate including a plurality of sub-pixels, first electrodes disposed in the sub-pixels on the substrate, a liquid crystal layer aligned between adjacent first electrodes on the substrate, a bank disposed on the liquid crystal layer and overlapping a periphery of an upper surface of the first electrode, an organic layer on the first electrode and the bank, and a second electrode on the organic layer, wherein the bank includes a black-based material.
Claims14
A display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- a plurality of sub-pixels on the substrate, the plurality of sub-pixels including a plurality of first electrodes;
- a liquid crystal layer on the substrate between successive first electrodes of the plurality of first electrodes;
- a bank disposed on the liquid crystal layer and overlapping a periphery of an upper surface of the successive first electrodes of the plurality of first electrodes;
- an organic layer disposed on the first electrode and the bank;
- and
- a second electrode on the organic layer,
- wherein the bank includes a black-based material.
