Abstract

A clothing treating device (a laundry treating apparatus) is disclosed. The clothing treating device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a cabinet, a clothing receiving portion, and a door, wherein the door includes a door base having a rear end rotatably coupled to the upper surface portion and configured to rotate into either an open state or a closed state of the clothing input port, a door panel coupled to the upper surface of the door base, and a grip member coupled to the front end of the door base and positioned below the door panel, wherein the grip member includes a grip upper surface facing the lower surface of the door panel and a support rib protruding upward from the grip upper surface, and the door panel is spaced apart upward from the grip upper surface and supported by the support rib.

Dependent claims

A laundry treating apparatus comprising:

a cabinet including a top surface with a laundry inlet defined therein;
a laundry accommodating portion disposed inside the cabinet and constructed to accommodate therein laundry inserted via the laundry inlet;
and
a door disposed on the top surface and configured to open and close the laundry inlet,
wherein the door includes:
a door base having a rear end pivotably coupled to the top surface and configured to pivot to be in one of an open state and a closed state of the laundry inlet;
a door panel coupled to a top surface of the door base;
and a grip member coupled to a front end of the door base and positioned beneath the door panel,
wherein the grip member includes:
a grip top surface facing a bottom surface of the door panel;
and a support rib protruding upward from the grip top surface,
wherein the door panel is spaced upwardly apart from the grip top surface and supported by the support rib.
