Abstract
In one aspect, the present disclosure pertains to a method of forming a lubricious coated medical device, the method comprising forming a lubricious coating suspension, wherein the lubricious coating suspension comprises a lubricious polyethylene polymer and a polar solvent, wherein the lubricious coating suspension is per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS)-free, and applying the lubricious coating suspension to a substrate to form a lubricious coated medical device.
Claims20
A method of forming a lubricious coated medical device, the method comprising:
- forming a lubricious coating suspension, wherein the lubricious coating suspension comprises a lubricious polyethylene polymer and a polar solvent, wherein the lubricious coating suspension is per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS)-free;
- and
- applying the lubricious coating suspension to a substrate to form a lubricious coated medical device.
A method of forming a lubricious coated medical device, the method comprising:
- forming a lubricious coating suspension, wherein the lubricious coating suspension comprises an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), a polar solvent, and a surfactant, wherein the lubricious coating suspension is per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS)-free;
- and
- applying the lubricious coating suspension to a substrate to form a lubricious coated medical device.
A lubricious coated medical device comprising:
- a substrate;
- and
- a lubricious coating disposed on the substrate, the lubricious coating comprising a lubricious polyethylene polymer and a polar solvent.
