Abstract
Provided is a method for producing a fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion in which the content of a fluorine-containing surfactant is reduced, the method comprising at least preparing an aqueous dispersion (E) by heating an aqueous dispersion containing a fluoropolymer, a nonionic surfactant and a fluorine-containing surfactant, the aqueous dispersion (E) containing a phase (E1), a phase (E2) and a phase (E3).

A method for producing a fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion in which a content of a fluorine-containing surfactant is reduced,
- the method comprising at least preparing an aqueous dispersion (E) by heating an aqueous dispersion containing a fluoropolymer, a nonionic surfactant and a fluorine-containing surfactant,
- the aqueous dispersion (E) containing:
- a phase (E1) in which a content of the fluoropolymer is less than 1.00% by mass based on a mass of the phase (E1), and a content of the nonionic surfactant is less than 2.00% by mass based on the mass of the phase (E1);
- a phase (E2) in which a content of the fluoropolymer is less than 1.00% by mass based on a mass of the phase (E2), and a content of the nonionic surfactant is 2.00% by mass or more based on the mass of the phase (E2);
- and
- a phase (E3) in which a content of the fluoropolymer is 1.00% by mass or more based on a mass of the phase (E3), and a content of the nonionic surfactant is 2.00% by mass or more based on the mass of the phase (E3).
A fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion comprising a fluoropolymer and an anionic fluorine-containing surfactant, wherein
- a content of the anionic fluorine-containing surfactant is more than 0 mass ppb and less than 100 mass ppb based on the fluoropolymer.
