Abstract
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treatment and/or prevention of cancer, which comprises, as an active ingredient, an antibody or fragment thereof having an immunological reactivity with a CAPRIN-1 protein or a fragment thereof comprising 7 or more consecutive amino acids.

A method for delivering an antitumor agent to a cancer cell, comprising administering an antibody-antitumor agent conjugate or an antibody fragment-antitumor agent conjugate that binds a CAPRIN-1 protein to a subject;
- wherein the cancer cell is a CAPRIN-1 expressing cancer cell;
- and
- wherein the antibody or the antibody fragment specifically binds the extracellular region of the CAPRIN-1 protein expressed on the cell surface of the CAPRIN-1 expressing cancer cell.
