Abstract
A vehicle interior component includes a surface configured as a textile and a vibration generator configured to generate a vibration of the surface to remove contaminants present on the surface. The textile includes a dielectric elastomer which deforms elastically in response to an electrical voltage applied to the elastomer. The vibration generator is electrically coupled to the elastomer and configured such that the vibration generator applies the electrical voltage oscillating at an oscillation frequency to the elastomer of the textile in order to generate the vibration of the surface.

A vehicle interior component, comprising:
- a surface which is a textile;
- and
- a vibration generator configured to generate a vibration of the surface to remove contaminants present on the surface,
- wherein the textile comprises a dielectric elastomer which is configured to deform elastically in response to an electrical voltage applied to the elastomer, and
- the vibration generator is electrically coupled to the elastomer and configured such that the vibration generator applies the electrical voltage oscillating at an oscillation frequency to the elastomer of the textile in order to generate the vibration of the surface.
