Therapeutic vibration treatment apparatus

A therapeutic vibration treatment apparatus for a seat, cushion or mattress, in particular, a vehicle seat, the apparatus comprising:

• at least one vibrational device locatable within at least one cavity formed or existing within the seat, cushion or mattress and couplable to a frame of the seat, cushion or mattress, or inserted into the at least one cavity, to impart vibrations to the seat, cushion or mattress;
• and
• at least one sensor embedded in the seat, cushion or mattress and adapted to measure at least one of a presence and a weight distribution of a user on the seat, cushion or mattress;
• wherein the at least one vibrational device and the at least one sensor are in communication with a controller to control operation of the at least one vibrational device to adjust one or more of intensity, duration and location of vibrations in a predetermined manner according to a programme of any one of a number of preset or configurable programmes, and wherein a computer application program executable by a processor on a computing device is in communication with the controller to control the controller.
