## Abstract

Disclosed is a filtrate collection unit (104) having a wear nozzle (108). The wear nozzle (108) includes a tubular portion (202) that is provided with a first aperture (208) and a second aperture (210). The first aperture (208) is adapted to receive fluid from a filter plate (100). The first aperture (208) has an elliptical profile. The second aperture (210) is disposed opposite to the first aperture (208) along a longitudinal axis (A-A′) of the tubular portion (202) such that the second aperture (210) ejects filtrate of the fluid received via the first aperture (208) out of the tubular portion (202).
