Abstract
A syringe having a body defining a liquid containing chamber and a tip protruding from the body and configured to fluid-tightly couple with a female connector of or for a medical device. A through channel is formed through the tip and is in fluid communication with the chamber at a chamber aperture and with the external environment at an end aperture. The through channel is formed of a frusto-conical portion extending from the chamber aperture to a longitudinally intervening section, and of a cylindrical portion extending from the longitudinally intervening section to the end aperture. The frusto-conical portion is tapered toward the chamber aperture.

A syringe comprising
- a body defining a liquid containment chamber;
- a tip protruding from the body and configured to fluid-tightly couple with a female connector of or for a medical device;
- and
- a through channel formed through the tip, in fluid communication with the liquid containment chamber at a chamber aperture and with an external environment at an end aperture,
- wherein the through channel is formed of a frusto-conical portion extending from the chamber aperture to a longitudinally intervening section, and of a cylindrical portion extending from the longitudinally intervening section to the end aperture, the frusto-conical portion being tapered toward the chamber aperture.
A syringe comprising:
- a body defining a liquid containment chamber;
- a tip protruding from the body and configured to fluid-tightly couple with a female connector of or for a medical device;
- and
- a through channel formed through the tip and in fluid communication with the liquid containment chamber at a chamber aperture and with an external environment at an end aperture,
- wherein:
- the through channel is defined by a frusto-conical portion and a cylindrical portion arranged contiguously along a longitudinal axis of the tip;
- the frusto-conical portion extends directly from the chamber aperture to a longitudinally intervening section where the frusto-conical portion meets the cylindrical portion;
- the cylindrical portion extends from said longitudinally intervening section to the end aperture;
- and
- the frusto-conical portion is tapered toward the chamber aperture such that the through channel widens continuously from the chamber aperture to the longitudinally intervening section.
