Abstract
A template for positioning perforations to be made in dams, characterized by standardized markings for well-aligned dental arches and a curved millimeter ruler to customize the position for perforations in irregular dental arches, as well as coordinate lines and midlines, which allow tooth segmentation to be performed to position the perforation. This template allows for varying positions and distances when making perforations in latex and silicone (synthetic) dams, facilitating its use in patients with irregularly aligned dental arches. It can also be used on dams of different thicknesses (thin, medium, and thick), especially since it facilitates varying the distances and positions of the perforations.

A template for positioning perforations in dams used for the absolute dental isolation technique, comprising markings for well-aligned dental arches (3), characterized in that it also comprises a curved millimeter ruler (4) that customizes the position for perforations in irregular dental arches, and where said template is also made up of:
- major lines (41) that mark the exact position of the teeth represented in the upper half of the template, minor lines (42) that mark the distance in millimeters between the major lines.
